The Pista Verde track in Fener di Belluno recently hold the 2016 Tecnovi Trophy race. In the 1/8th Nitro On-road F1 category Mattia Collavo came out successful in the A-main from Francesco Mionetto on the runner-up spot. The Novarossi/Ielasi Tuned Trophy was held in Italy at the Pista de Leno track with some of Italy’s fastest nitro on-road drivers in attendance. In the premier 1/8th class Dario Balestri would take the TQ but in the A-main final Walter Salemi held the upper hand with multi-time World Champion Lamberto Collari coming in second. The opening round of the Finnish 1/10th Electric Off-road Nationals was held in Hyvinkää in pretty warm and sunny weather conditions. In the 2WD class Joel Valander would grab the TQ with two round wins from Joona Haatanen in second and Karri Salmela in third. WRC Contest 2016 – Announcement

The 2016 WRC Contest will be held on the 5th of June at the Pista RC Team track in Reggio Emilia. The event will be held in the three classes of Touring Modified, Stock 13.5T and Formula with last year’s race attracting over 70 entries to race on the high-grip asphalt track. Roche have introduced two new option parts for the Rapide F1 formula car. First up is the new low-traction carbon fibre chassis cut from 2.25mm material and best used on slippery asphalt tracks. The chassis was tested by Roche’s Olivier Bultynck at the recent fourth round of the ETS and it is complemented by the second new part, a suitable 2.25mm carbon fibre lower pod plate. The Marine Parade Radio Control Modellers Club in Singapore played host to the ULTI World Cup this past weekend. The event attracted some of the World’s fastest nitro on-road drivers such as Jilles Groskamp, Andy Moore, Teemo Leinoo and others. In the Electric Touring 13.5T class Stefan Schulz took the TQ and he easily won the A-main in front of Robert Komfort and Ralph Schmidt. The second round of the Portuguese 1/8th Off-road Nationals was held this past weekend in Guarda following a rained out and cancelled round one. Serpent driver Carlos Duares (Serpent) set the TQ in the qualifiers by winning all three rounds with Miguel Matias (HB) coming in second. In the 45 minute A-main the TQ holder suffered a flame-out which cost him dearly as Ricardo Monteiro (TLR) was able to take the win one lap ahead of Carlos. Round two of the Spanish 1/8th Nitro Buggy National Championship was held in El Alamo, Madrid over the weekend. Mugen’s up and coming Juan Carlos Canas would take a popular overall TQ from team mate Bryan Baldo and SWorkz’ Albert Garcia. Cole Ogden triples at 2016 Summer Shootout

The 2016 Summer Shootout was held in Lake City, Florida this past weekend. Mugen’s Cole Ogden would TQ and win Pro Nitro Buggy and he ended tie on points with John Michael Mcginty in E-Buggy but in the end a better tie-breaker handed Cole his second title of the weekend. To finish off a successful day Cole then also won the Dash for Cash. Being the Pro Nitro Buggy TQ he had to start dead last from the 10th spot but he was able to work his way up for another win.
