Xceed Pro XF racing fuel
Xceed have released a new blend of racing fuel with 16% & 25% onroad fuel and 25% nitro for offroad cars/engines called Pro XF. Made using a mix of high quality methanol, nitromethane, mainly mineral oil and a percentage of some types of synthetic oil. The castor oil will protect the engine and creates a very thin black film which creates a better seal inside the engine. The fuel is supplied in handy nylon containers in 2 and 5 liters. Once again JConcepts hit the road to Coral Springs for the JConcepts Super Cup Championship Series race #4. Friday practice at CSRCCC had threatening skies looming overhead with a thirty percent chance of rain for race day, Saturday afternoon. Starting with offroad there is a line of hard coated aluminium A-arm bushings for the Hong Nor & Jammin X3 Sabre buggies as well as hard coated aluminium brake cams for the same cars. Bliss RC have introduced their new F5 .21 buggy engine. Featuring a 5 port ABC liner, a modified piston helps improve performance and lifespan while an aluminium & plastic carburetor helps to avoid overheating. Last weekend we headed to SpeedWorld Raceway in Roseville, CA for the Pacific North Asphalt Sprint Car Championships. There were 60 plus drivers from the Northern California area. JConcepts has made the trip out to the 2012 NRSHA hobby show in Las Vegas, NV. This is our 2nd time at this show and we’ve had a great experience meeting new and existing dealers. This is a face to face opportunity for manufacturers to get together and take a snippet of product along to display in a table top environment. Each day they have new itinerary for dealers with morning and evening events as well as the actual show itself. There is a team bowling function, car and plane outdoor demos and a group lunch. Gillespie leads Associated April Fools Classic haul
For the 24th year in a row, racers gathered at the historic Intermountain R/C Raceway just outside of Salt Lake City, UT and this year the entry count was over 200 for the smooth indoor clay surface race. Qualifying started Friday afternoon and ended Saturday night, with Mains on Sunday. Mod classes included 2WD Buggy, Stadium Truck, 4WD Buggy, and 4×4 Short Course. Team Associated/Reedy/LRP driver Rob Gillespie Jr. made a bold statement in qualifying, earning TQ in all three classes he entered, Mod Buggy, Mod Truck, and Mod 4WD. With four rounds of qualifying on Saturday using qual points and two out of four rounds counting, an emphasis was placed on consistency. On Sunday, the event continued with the running of the lower main events with the top two drivers bumping up to the next highest main event.
