Pro-Line Sneek Peek of new prototype products… While we were at the 2011 Sidewinder Nitro Explosion we stopped by the Pro-Line Team pits and spoke with Pro-Line’s Tim Clark and Dan Adams… Dan gave us a sneek peek of the new prototype Bulldog Body for Team Associated 8.2! We arrived mid afternoon yesterday at ARC Raceway in Temecula, CA to watch the finals of the 2011 Sidewinder Nitro Explosion… What a great afternoon and evening of mains…. It would turnout to be a tire battle between Pro-Line and JConcepts in both the Expert Buggy and Truggy mains… Both tire companies would claim a victory… 1:8 Exp Buggy: 1) Ryan Maifield 2) Ryan Cavalieri 3) Ty Tessmann Ryan Maifield of Team Associated/JConcepts/Sidewinder/etc. would take the win in Exp Buggy. Lutz Trifecta at the 2011 JConcepts Southern Nationals! A long weekend of some excellent racing has come to a close at the Southern Nationals in Louisiana. Allow me to recap my Durango Trifecta! Short Course – My Durango DESC410R truck was flying with the Tekin 4pole 4600 on this track. Saturday October 22, 2011 at the NAMBA 2-lap oval time trials Lake Minden, Ca Venom team driver Bill Oxidean set 8 new records including limited sport hydro which was done with Miss Excite! The new record is 31.81 seconds! Bill also used his Venom batteries to set records in N-1 mono, N-1 hydro, M-2 mono, LSO, P-spec mono, P-spec hydro, and P-spec Crackerbox! After a very long drive from Florida the JConcepts crew is set up and getting a few practice laps in at this years Southern Nationals. Today, Friday is practice day, qualifying begins tomorrow and the Mains on Sunday. There are 350 pre-entries for this event so there will be a few long days ahead. The track is 200′x150′ and is fast and flowing with a few technical sections. This past weekend Delta RC wrapped up its 7th and final round of this years Nor-Cal Championship Series for 1:8th Scale Electric and Nitro Off-Road. Throughout this year we hve brought you reports from several of the different rounds. However, we were unable to attend this past weekend because we were at Speedworld Raceway in Roseville, CA. 1:8 Exp Buggy: 1) Ryan Lutz 2) Adam Drake 3) Cody King Just completed my 6.5 hour trip to Southern California where I took part in the Byron Fuels Western Cup which was hosted at the World Famous Revelation Raceway. It was just a one day event with two qualifiers and 30 min Pro A-mains. A few top pros were on hand including Adam Drake and Cody King as well as my Durango teammate Carson Wernimont.
