Round #2 of the Northwest Championship Tour was held at the 27th annual Hank Perry 240 this past weekend in Spokane, WA. It was a great weekend for Team Associated with the team taking TQ and wins in multiple classes. Saturday consisted of 3 rounds of qualifying using the qual points format so each racers best 2 points rounds would be used to set the starting grid for Sunday’s main events. On Sunday a triple A-main format was used for 1/10th scale and electric 1/8th scale. Cavalieri cleans up at Top Gear Hobbies Spring Shootout

Current world champion Ryan Cavalieri was at the Top Gear Hobbies Spring Shootout this weekend in Portland OR. Running in the invitational class using the Reedy race format, Ryan locked up the title after 8 races with two drops. Team Kyosho and Team Orion manager Joe Pillars locked up the second spot with Mike Brown locking up the 3rd place. Over 100 racers attended the first annual race, with some of the best racers in the NW in appearance. There were 30 racers in the invitational class! Rc Pro South Division Rd1 dominated by Tekin power!

RC Pro Series South Round 1 was hosted by 439 Raceway in Belton, Tx. A relatively new track that no one had been to before, the surface started out smooth then quickly started to rut up. Friday the 15th was open practice. Saturday consisted of 4 Quals using Qual points. Tekin powered Brian Henn managed to take the overall TQ in Pro 4 SC. Tekin teammate David Joor would take the Overall Tq for the 1/8 Pro E Buggy class with Henn 3rd. Sunday was main day.   The 27th Annual Cactus Classic was held at HobbyTown USA SRS March 14-17 in beautiful Scottsdale, Arizona. The Cactus is one of the longest on-going electric off-road races to date that brings in the best drivers from all over the United States as well as drawing an International field. The intense competition along with great weather has made this event so successful over the years. This years event reached an amazing 500 entries! Tekin Drivers win big at the Epic Freeze at P1 Hobbies!

This past weekend P1 Hobbies hosted the 2nd annual Epic Freeze in Lakeport CA. A good turnout of around 140 enters with a lot of the top Northern California racers! This was a three day event an the stadium mod truck class was very close with the top three, Tyler Vik TQ, Phillip Atondo and Jason Moberly. Panther tires with big wins “Down Under!”

A fresh track design was built for round 1 of the Pro Truckin Tour for 2013. There was some very close racing in all heats and finals. Panther team driver Darren Lord’s Rattler SC mounted to DE Racing wheels were hooked up on his Team Durango DESC 410 SCT.
